Don made partner at Revere in mid-October (hoorah!), and as a celebration, I planned a kid-free weekend trip to Zion. We didn't make it into the lottery to hike Angel's Landing, but all's well that ends well. We settled on a last minute decision to hike The Narrows instead. I hiked The Narrows once when I was little, but I don't remember. So this was a new and adventurous experience for both of us! I'm so glad we took the plunge and did something unknown because it was an incredible experience.
Oh yes, and it was the same weekend as the solar eclipse! My mom provided childcare and eclipse glasses for the road...thank you, Mom!
