A couple weekends ago, one of Don's friends came and visited us for a ski weekend. During the down time when they weren't skiing, we took Jeff around Salt Lake City and showed him the sights. We toured downtown, gave him a Temple Square history lesson, and walked around City Creek.
On Sunday, we thought it would be fun to drive to the Salt Flats (something that's been on our SLC bucket list since day one!). We didn't have time to drive all the way out to the real Bonneville Salt Flats, but we drove far enough that we got a good idea of what the hype is all about.
Upon arrival, we didn't know exactly what to expect, but the scenery was stunning! We walked all the way out to what should have been the middle of a lake, but instead it was just dry, white, salty dirt (I tasted the dirt, it was indeed salty.)
Here are some photos from our Saltaire adventures:
Slowly checking off the bucket list!
