Dear Pittsburgh, we love you. My caption on an Instagram post pretty much sums up how we feel:
"When we first found out we were moving to Pittsburgh, we thought, 'um...Pittsburgh, really? Who moves to Pittsburgh?!' We had no idea we were making one of our best decisions yet! After going to Picklesburgh in our first month and laughing that a city would celebrate pickles with such enthusiasm, we knew it would become home. We quickly learned that Pittsburgh is livable and fun, cultured and down-to-earth. It is interesting, unexpected, and special.
Pittsburgh means the world to us, not just because of what the city is, but because of how it changed us. It's where Don and I fell in love again (like, for reals this time), it's where I finally reached my Anthro career goals, it's where we bought our first house and had our first little Auggie baby. We have endless memories of people and places and experiences that we love.
We've only got one week left now, and we're soaking in and celebrating our last days in the city of yellow bridges. As we close this chapter, we just feel so grateful we had it. Thank you, Pittsburgh, for the memories!"
{Goodbye, Lawrenceville!}
