Sweet Baby O had his baby blessing on Sunday, May 9th, 2021. Because of Covid, we hosted the blessing at our house which was nice. Don's family all drove down, and my family zoomed in, along with some special friends that joined us.
It was a wonderful blessing and a wonderful day. Apart from the blessing itself, I think the most special part was that the entire thing was recorded on our zoom call. How lucky is it for Owen to have a copy of his blessing word for word? Perks of being a Covid baby!
My mom made Owen his very own pair of white suede, monogrammed baby loafers just like she did for Auggie...but weeks before the big day came, they didn't fit! It was basically Cinderella and there was no way those things were going on. I called my mom in a frenzy and Primed her a bunch of sweaters to monogram instead. Of course there was no doubt, and she delivered with a professionally monogramed, Cape Cod-esque, high society v-neck just in time.
