Park City

The summer adventures continue!  We spent a few days up in Park City, and we had the best time.  We love going up to Park City in the summer and winter, and every time we go, Don and I get more and more of an itch to own property up there someday...we'll see what the future holds!

I have so many pictures from this trip.  I don't think I can edit any of them out, so here is a sizable picture dump.

Ok, so this water was coooooold.  And yet, we spent all morning here!  The kids had such a fun time throwing driftwood into the water and swimming after it in the current.  Honestly, I couldn't believe they got in.

Even I got in!  Cold water is a lot easier when pregnant, lol.

{Donut Falls Hike}

This hike was incredible!  The hike to the base of the falls was really easy, but then it got really steep and slippery up to the actual falls.  We were nervous about the kids being safe on the way up, so Don went ahead to check it out.  He ended up passing the falls, not realizing it, and went over the other side of the mountain on a different trail.  After about twenty minutes, I got so nervous something had happened that I told the kids we were going up after him 😆.  So up we went!  When we got about halfway to the falls, Don came back over the top of the mountain.  Phew!  

In the end, we all made it safely to the waterfall, and it was soooo worth it.  We kept saying that it really looked like Gollum could pop out at any minute.

We spent a day with Don's family at the Alpine Slides.  We also splurged and rode the Alpine Coaster, which is way fun! 

{Salt Lake City}

Of course, we had to spend a day in Salt Lake City.  We wanted to show the kids our old apartment where little Mimi used to walk with us up to the Capitol.  We sure miss her!  It was really fun to remember some of those memories before the kids were born.

The kids were really excited to have a tour of the Conference Center.  For the last few years, every time we watch conference, the kids have asked about it.  We even saw the organist practicing while we were there!  This was a good memory.  Hopefully, we'll be able to go to a session with them one day.

It's not a trip to a city without riding public transit for Owen!  He was beyond excited to ride the Trax system, so we just went back and forth in the downtown "free ride" section for as long as we had time for.  

Get this kid back to New York City!

{Homestead Crater}

We didn't know what to expect here, and it was awesome!  The Homestead Crater is a warm hot springs where you can just float and swim.  The kids got to watch a scuba diving lesson during our time slot, which was really neat.  We just love these types of unique experiences.

On our last day, we drove through Provo to celebrate Pioneer Day with Don's family.  We spent the morning out on Utah Lake with Dan & Michelle's boat and jet skis.  It was such a fun trip!
