Auggie is officially a better skier than me, and Owen skied off-harness this year!  They are the most amazing skiers, it's incredible!

{Dogtown 2026}

Ok, so Auggie won the Dogtown this year!  There were probably about 15 kids, but a few were older than him.  Before the race, he came up to me and whispered in my ear, "that's the kid who won it last year!"  So I told him, "then that's the kid you race with."  The other kid was about 10 years old?  So Auggie went out behind him for the first 400 meters, and then suddenly just passed him halfway through the race!  For the next 400 meters, Auggie absolutely buried himself to put more and more distance into him.  It was a phenomenal race, and his first official WIN! 

Owen also ran sooo incredibly well and podiumed!  He got third place!  Before the race I told Owen that I thought he could podium, and looked at me and said, "oh yeah, that'll be easy!".  When I explained that it might be hard because a lot of the kids were older, he said, "no, it'll be easy.  Most of them are girls." 💀 We immediately had a chat about how fast mom is, ha, and how girls can still beat him.  That little stinker.  But it was so cool to watch Auggie come around the corner in first, followed by the older kid, followed by little O's absolutely flying to get third place.
