I too often assume,
You aren't doing what you should.
I often tend to think,
You're up to some no good.
When I shouldn't be surprised,
By the goodnes that I find,
I keep it to myself,
And leave it in my mind.
If I do not say it,
And try my best to show,
How much I love and care,
Then how are you to know?
Silly, selfish me!
I'll lose the best thing that I've got,
Because I didn't share,
A simple grateful thought.

I love your poem. (And I love you, too.) Mom
