Boston Summer Nights.

This summer, we have had a lot of time together to do so many fun things (some bucket list, some not).  These Boston summer nights sure do make me smile.

{St. Agrippa's Feast}

The North End is also known as Boston's "Little Italy".  It is always a fun neighborhood to walk around at night, but during a festival,  it's even more entertaining.  St. Agrippa's Feast is one of the many summer festivals in the North End, and it didn't disappoint.  After a nice Italian dinner, we spent the rest of the evening listening to music, admiring the lights, watching carnival games, and taste testing cannolis!  

Thank you, Italy, for coming to Boston.

{Shakespeare in the Park}

On Sunday evenings during the summer, Boston hosts free performances of various Shakespeare plays.  This year, they hosted Twelfth Night.  The performances are always held "on The Common", so it makes for a very Boston thing-to-do.  One evening, we packed up some blankets and chairs, and enjoyed the raucous and often irreverent humor of our dearest Shakespeare.  (For some reason, I continue to bamboozle myself into thinking that Shakespeare is the wholesome, uplifting type.)

The Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, as you can tell, chose quite the modern interpretation in both set and costume design.

{Food Truck Festival}

The Food Truck Festival is just great fun all the way around.  Every Thursday night, all of the food trucks in Boston park in Franklin Square to offer up their most famous eats.

And eat we did!  I chose a New England classic with my fish and chips basket, and Don stuck with a beloved New York deli favorite:  The Reuben.
