Well, finally we just went. On the first weekend of September, we drove out of the city and set up camp for a night!
Camping is something neither of us have really done before. I mean, with organized groups, sure. But not really on our own. We were nervous going into it, unsure of how the hike would go, how we were going to carry all of our equipment, what the campsite would be like, how cold it would be (that was my fear...), how to set up the tent, whether our tin foil dinners would cook, etc. etc.
It turns out there is a lot to think about when you go camping, and it requires a lot of preparation. But succeed we did!! We went and conquered, and we both agreed it is something we would love to do again.
{The beginning of our hike}
{Campfire! I might have bought Duraflame logs...}
{Waking up early in the morning}
{The beautiful lake}
{Early morning walk around the lake}
{Just relaxing}
{Afternoon hike}
{White Mountain views}
{Don, contemplating important things.}
{Our last camping selfie!}
We will definitely go camping again. Perhaps we need to invest in our own gear this time?! Goodbye White Mountains! You were lovely.
