Date nights and days.

We've been in Salt Lake City for about 2 months now, and we are settling in nicely!  Don is really enjoying his Fellowship at the U, and I am desperately trying to work my way back up the Anthro management ladder out here.  

Without our crazy callings, we have a lot more time than we did in Boston.  (Well...I guess I have a lot more time.  It turns out that Fellowship is not quite the "walk in the park" that either of us were anticipating.)  But either way, I would say that things are a lot less stressful these days.  Hallelujah! 

So, we made a SLC bucket list, just in case Don gets a job somewhere else next year.  Bucket lists are our new thing, btw.  It's the easiest way to find something fun to do, and I figure it helps us get out and do things that we wouldn't otherwise find time for.  Over the last couple of weeks, we've checked some things off the list for our date nights and days. 

{Granary Row}

Granary Row is a really cool pop-up container market in downtown SLC.  The market is made up of two blocks of vendors, all selling their things out of old shipping containers!  It has such an artsy and creative vibe.  They also have a bunch of food trucks and live music too, so it's the perfect combination of shopping, eating, and moseying.   

You can see one of the shipping containers in the background encouraging us to EAT.  Don't worry, we have the eating thing down.

{Tour of Utah}

On one of the Saturdays we had off, we went up to Snowbird to watch the final climb of the Tour of Utah! (the Tour of Utah is a professional cycling race...like the Tour de France, just not as big.  And just not in France.)

In case you didn't know, I love love watching races!  Any races.  All races.  They remind me so much of all of my running experiences, and I feel like cycling races are particularly similar.  They have tents set up, fans cheering, freebie hand outs, cow bells...it's so much fun.

Just waiting for the riders to come through.

We've checked some fun things off our list already, but we have so many more to go.  Summer 2015 is already coming to a close...how can this be?!
