Move from Cleveland

Whew...so my parents moved to St. George!

Don't ask me when or how or what, because I truly have no idea.  Yes, we had talked about them moving here at some point in the future, but it was with more ambiguity and vagueness than not.  Then poof!  In a matter of weeks my dad was packed and settled into an assisted living facility, their house was sold (by word-of-mouth, no less) and packed, and my mom and I were driving a U-haul across the country with a storage facility and a sunny desert apartment on the horizon.   If this isn't making a lot of sense and feels sudden with no explanation.  Well.  Yep.  That's about right.

In all seriousness, this needed to happen.  My dad's Parkinson's and other issues had caused him to deteriorate pretty rapidly and for quite some time now.  With my mom still working full-time, their situation in Ohio was unhealthy, unsafe, and unsustainable.

It was hard, but it was time.  I'm so very glad that they are both safe and stable now, and it was nothing short of a string of miracles that made it so.

{goodbye, cleveland!}
{welcome to Ire-oooo-wuh}
{middle of kansas}
{safe in santa fe 😬}

Welcome to St. George, party people!
